City residents are being invited to try free lawn bowls coaching at the Evington Park bowling green, on Saturdays and Mondays during April and May.
The coaching will take place on the next three Saturdays, from 23rd April to 7th May, between 10.15 am 11.15am. The Monday sessions will run from April 25th to May 9th between 6.45 and 7.30 pm.
Club Secretary Peter Jackson said: “ This is a great opportunity for people to come down and try bowls. We want as many new people to take up the sport as possible.”
The lessons are open to everyone. There is no age limit but under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
People who want to take part are asked to bring flat shoes or trainers. All other equipment will be provided by the club.
