Census 2011: only 6 days to go until 27th Match

This year's Census day is Sunday 27th March - help us make history by completing your forms or doing it online.

What is it?

A census is a survey of all people and households in the country. It provides essential information from national to neighbourhood level for government, business, and the community.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) designs, manages and runs the census* in England and Wales. The last census was done on 29th April 2001.

What you need to do

On Sunday 27th March, we need you to complete the questionnaire delivered to your home address during March.

You just need to answer several questions about you and who else is in your household on Sunday 27th March. These will cover gender, education, marital status, and other areas.

Once you've done that, post back your forms by Thursday 6th April. Or do it all online.
